Admission to our MBA program is highly competitive. Successful MBA candidates exhibit the characteristics that typify successful business leaders: intellectual curiosity, positive competitive spirit, the desire to succeed, creative and resourceful problem-solving skills, effective communication, solid ethics, and the ability to thrive in dynamic team environments.
Our admissions committee considers each candidate's entire record of achievement. We look at undergraduate and graduate transcripts, GMAT scores, essays, letters of recommendation, personal interviews, work experience, and extracurricular and community activities. Professional work experience is strongly encouraged as it adds relevance and depth to the learning process and enables candidates to contribute to, and benefit from, the knowledge of fellow classmates.
All Leeds MBA students start their MBA in the fall. We do not offer spring enrollment.
Becoming an entrepreneur requires taking a certain amount of risk. An education from the Leeds School of Business will better prepare me for business ownership by allowing me to explore subjects specific to entrepreneurship. Thus, an MBA from Leeds' Entrepreneurship program will help me reduce the risks of starting a business and set me up with a greater chance for success.
